Faribault Cares Receives $10,000 Founders Fund Grant

We are deeply grateful to the Faribault Foundation for their generous support of Faribault Cares! Through the Foundation’s Founders Fund, we have been awarded a $10,000 grant that will help us strengthen childcare in our community.

With this funding, Faribault Cares will be able to provide free trainings and additional supports for local childcare providers — resources that will empower those on the front lines of early childhood care. (Stay tuned for more details on upcoming opportunities!)

This is only the second Founders Fund Grant awarded in 2025, making it an especially meaningful milestone. The Founders Fund is fueled by contributions from members of the Founders Society, with grants selected by the Faribault Foundation Board of Directors in accordance with its community-focused mission.

As a newly established 501(c)(3) organization, Faribault Cares was created under the Visionary Agenda of the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce to help address our community’s critical shortage of nearly 500 childcare slots. Our mission is to:

• Eliminate barriers to childcare so families never have to choose between work and care.

• Empower childcare providers with professional development, resources, and ongoing support.

• Nurture children’s education and development through high-quality, enriching care experiences.
